The Purity Medal devotion is an apostolate of the members of the lay fraternity of St. Dominic in Evansville, IN. We are working for the propagation and fulfillment of the fifth Marian Dogma through the carrying of this sacramental.
At the behest of our local bishop, the Most Reverend Joseph M. Siegel, a group of us, consisting of 65 members, are considered a Dominican Lay Chapter, known as 'The Woman Clothed With the Sun' in the Central Province of St. Albert the Great.
As Lay Dominicans, we have Dominican formation, church activities, and observe some of our daily spiritual obligations in our private oratory, which we call the Upper Room. We also engage in the four pillars of the Dominican Lay Fraternity life. We offer the Purity Medal for the salvation of souls at Mass weekly.
